You may be wondering, “is it safe to travel to Cape Town?”
The short answer, yes of course! Like anywhere you travel, always be aware of your surroundings. South Africa is full of so much natural beauty and amazing people, we think everyone should come here to see it for themselves.
Now, on to the fun stuff 🙂
If you’re into wine, Cape Town has some of the most stunning wineries (and wines) that we’ve ever seen.
Stellenbosch is where mountains meet the vineyards and is home to some of the most beautiful scenery. You can really see the Dutch colonial history in this quaint, little town filled with cute cafes, art galleries and unique boutiques. No trip to Stellenbosch would be complete without a visit to Delaire Graff Estate. Delaire has beautiful views, incredible food & delicious wines.
If you’re a foodie, Cape Town is no stranger to great eats.
Salsify At The Roundhouse in Camps Bay is not to be missed. The building itself holds so much history, it’s fascinating. The 7 course tasting menu visually pleasing and equally tasty.
Just a short drive from Camps Bay is La Colombe. A beautiful restaurant serving an 11 course tasting menu with a French twist. It is set in a beautiful vineyard and is worth allowing extra time to enjoy the scenery. The interactive tasting menu is a culinary delight. We highly recommend doing the wine pairing to enhance your experience. Our favorite course was the “blind tasting course”. You get to guess the ingredients of the dish and guess the varietal of wine.
